Coloring in Photoshop vector : Painting the drappery

How to render complex shading in Photoshop vector? Here in this tutorial I have covered how to add light and shadows to clothings of a character. Layer masks, clipping paths and some nice tricks can be found very useful in creating editable color schemes.
Part 1 : Creating a workspace
Part 2: Coloring the character
Part 3 : Coloring accessories
Part 4 : Adding shadows and highlights
Part 5 : Painting the drappery
Part 6: Creating a background
Part 7 : Adding effects
Part 8 : Creating the blurb

Since here in the tiger skin set there is only one layer controlling the tint of the whole thing, so I have added just two gradient layer for shadow and highlight rendering. no additional control layer is needed for the dark and light layers, as they share the same shadow and highlight as of the skin base layer.

I have set the blend mode of the shadow layer to multiply and the blend mode of the highlight layer to screen as per our blending rule and adjusted the tints, that is the gradient settings accordingly, so that when combined together they yield a nice and pretty comics book style result.

Lastly as you can see these two layers are grouped with previous.

Now the shadow and the highlight layers are clipped roughly using layer clipping path to limit their effect
And using the same method used for the mahadeva shadow and highlight effect, I have added layer masks to these layers, inverted them and have drawn the masks to reveal the shadows and highlighted section.

here are the masks for these two layers.

Here is the final result while every layer under tiger skin set is made visible. Looking cool?
